Solomon Aigbavboa
Solomon, a Pharmacist was educated at the University of Benin where he bagged the Bachelor of Pharmacy (1990) and
M.Sc, Pharmaceutical Chemistry (1995), degrees. He later obtained MBA from the Federal University of Technology,
Owerri & Ph.D in Operations (Pharmaceutical Supply Chain) Management from the University of Johannesburg, South
Africa. He has attended a management course at Cranfield University, Belford, UK and several management courses and
trainings locally and internationally. He is a recipient of both the University of Benin undergraduate scholarship for academic
excellence & the Federal Government of Nigeria’s post-graduate scholarship awards.
He started his career in 1992 with the University of Benin where he became Lecturer 2 in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in
1995. From 1997 when joined the corporate world till date, he has held many management positions such as pioneer
Manager, Haulage & Distribution; National Customer Service Manager in MDS Logistics; General Manager, Franchise
Operations, Mr. Biggs & General Manager, UAC Foods; General Manager, North-West and Director, Regional Support in
Airtel Telecoms; Managing Director, MDS Logistics Ltd; MD/CEO of Livestock Feeds Plc; MD/CEO of Flux Logistix Limited.
He served as a Non-Executive Director on the boards of CAP Nigeria Plc from May 2008 to July 2019 and Courier Plus
Limited from November 2019 to June 2020;
Currently, he serves as the MD of Sonedis Nigeria, a Supply Chain & Healthcare Management Company. He also sits on
the Boards of H & W Rice Ltd, Manomi Services Ltd, H & W Starch Derivatives Ltd & Saro Lifecare Limited.
He is a Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (FPSN); Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport,
Nigeria (FCILT); the first Pharmacist to be so awarded; Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management,
Ghana (FSCM); Fellow of the African Centre for Supply Chain Management (F.ASCM); and member of the Council for
Supply Chain Management Professionals (MCSCMP), USA. He regularly facilitates training/courses in his areas of interest
(Operations, Logistics & Supply Chain Management) at the Lagos Business School (Pan Atlantic University), Lagos; the
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the African Centre for Supply Chain Management and an adjunct
faculty in the Post- graduate Diploma (PGD) in Cold Chain Logistics programme of the Nigerian Institute of Transport
Technology.
